My Opinion:Taliban vs IRA

Posted by Dustybo on Monday, June 1, 2009
I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that this was the season (not series) finale of deadliest warrior. The good news is that it totally kicked ass! The reason I didn't post my opinion before the episode was because I assumed they wouldn't let the Taliban win. At least they made it entertaining. I was silently rooting for the IRA, so I'm happy with the result. I kinda liked the people counter at the bottem, but they should've also had one on the Spetsnaz episode. I loved almost ever...

My Opinion:William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu

Posted by Dustybo on Wednesday, May 27, 2009
Well, I'm disappointed with the outcome of the match, but I can't say I'm surprised. I was on Zulu's side right up until I saw what weapon they were comparing, about 9 minutes into the episode. Shaka's weapons in my words "sucked" in comparison to Wallace's killing arsenal. I mean wow they're using the Zulu shield as a weapon. They could've used a way stronger Zulu weapon. I can't even call their shield a weapon, it was a shield. The assegai was a WAY better weapon. These reasons lead me to b...

Next Week: William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu

 VS

I think next week will be a great episode for two reasons. 1. They are using one specific warrior in history instead of the generic warrior. 2. William Wallace and Shaka Zulu are both well known and were feared warriors. In most cases, I usually go with the well-known, European warriors, but this week i think Shaka Zulu is going to win. Wallace has won many battles, but he actually lost the Battle of Filkirk to the English. Wallace was captured and executed in 1305. I'm not saying I hat...

Next Week: Shaolin Monk vs Maori Warrior

          VS

In this week's Deadliest Warrior the Specially trained Shaolin Monk face off against the Canniballistic Maori Warrior. The Monk has some extreme training and can use the most out of the ordinary weapons. Weapons like the interlocking death machines called the Twin Hooks. I like what they can do but i didn't like how he was using them. These moves make me to believe that the Maori also has a good chance of winning. The Maori use simple weapons and tactics to disarm, stab, and d...

Next Week:Green Beret vs Spetsnaz

 VS

Yeah, the show is coming up with very diverse matchups. I've done some minor resaearch on the spetsnaz and they have some pretty awesome weapons. The RGD-5 Fragmentation Grenade kills anything within 25 meters. They also have the superior hand to hand combat. But I'm not totally on one side. I believe that the green berets have great training too, and they probably have a bit more advanced weaponry. I think this week will be a pretty even matchup but i have a feeling spetsnaz will have th...
