My Opinion:Taliban vs IRA

I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that this was the season (not series) finale of deadliest warrior. The good news is that it totally kicked ass! The reason I didn't post my opinion before the episode was because I assumed they wouldn't let the Taliban win. At least they made it entertaining. I was silently rooting for the IRA, so I'm happy with the result. I kinda liked the people counter at the bottem, but they should've also had one on the Spetsnaz episode. I loved almost everything about the episode except for two things: The horribly fake flames in the fight, and the fact that they used aa slingshot, and didn't even launch something cool like a nail or a grenade. I loved that for the second time they didn't end it with the melee weapon. I gotta admit I thought that this was the best episode so far. The fight included comedy, blood, explosives, and a clever ending. I loved how they ended it! (with the last IRA guy locking the last Taliban guy in a bus with a nail bomb, running away, and pressing the detonator). I give this episode a 9 out of 10 due to the minor things that I didn't like

Since this is the season finale, I am proud to present my TOP 10
EPISODES
Number 9: Viking vs Samurai: I really didn't like this episode very much because the fight was basically the viking getting pissed and pushing the samurai until he died. I also didn't like that the tank samurai expert tested most of the weapons, and most of the samurai were like the guy who tested the yumi bow.

Number 8: William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu: There's nothing more to say than i was just disappointed with the results and the weapon comparisons

Number 7: Gladiator vs Apache: I kinda dislike this episode just because it was the fisrt episode and they spent most of the time introducing and explaining. The fight was bloody but too dramatic.

Number 6: Pirate vs Knight : They didn't do the testing as well as I thought they should have

Number 5: Green Beret vs Spetsnaz: Overall, good, but I couldn't point out most of their weapons in the final fight. the knife into the neck and the spetsnaz war cry at the end was my favourite parts of the episode.

Number 4: Shaolin Monk vs Maori Warrior: I over exagurated my love for this episode in my review because I was excited and wrote it right after I saw the episode. I like it because the warrior who got the edge 3 times lost.

Number 3: Yakuza vs Mafia: I liked how over confident the experts were (more over confident then usual) and the part where the baseball bat was thrown at the nunchuck guy as well as the nonchalant cigar smoke at the end

Number 2: Spartan vs Ninja: My astonishment with the result was what i liked about this episode because it was so intense and heartstopping. The only reason why this episode isn't number one is because of the cocky ninja expert.

Number 1: You guessed it! Taliban vs IRA: The fight was just too intense for me to put this episode anywhere else, just amazing!

My Opinion:William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu

Well, I'm disappointed with the outcome of the match, but I can't say I'm surprised. I was on Zulu's side right up until I saw what weapon they were comparing, about 9 minutes into the episode. Shaka's weapons in my words "sucked" in comparison to Wallace's killing arsenal. I mean wow they're using the Zulu shield as a weapon. They could've used a way stronger Zulu weapon. I can't even call their shield a weapon, it was a shield. The assegai was a WAY better weapon. These reasons lead me to believe that this was not a truly factual comparison of the two warriors. Even though I was on Zulu's side, I still thought that Wallace was the better warrior. I wanted Zulu to win (hence my biased opinion on my last post), but I kinda expected Wallace to win. My first glance at their weapons asserted my expectation.

Next Week: William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu

I think next week will be a great episode for two reasons. 1. They are using one specific warrior in history instead of the generic warrior. 2. William Wallace and Shaka Zulu are both well known and were feared warriors. In most cases, I usually go with the well-known, European warriors, but this week i think Shaka Zulu is going to win. Wallace has won many battles, but he actually lost the Battle of Filkirk to the English. Wallace was captured and executed in 1305. I'm not saying I hate William Wallace though. He used a Scottish Claymore, which is a 4 foot long sword that was used to slash and stab. William Wallace was a Scottish knight who fought for his country, but Shaka Zulu, on the other hand, was the leader of the Zulu Empire in Africa. Shaka used a short stabbing spear called the Iklwa, which in my opinion looks like a short dagger. He also used a big, heavy, war shield made of cowhide. For a ranged weapon, Shaka used a throwing spear called the Asegai as a first "missile like" strike before getting in close. I think this will be an epic battle, but Shaka Zulu would have the edge over William Wallace

MY OPINION ON THIS WEEK'S EPISODE
I kinda expected the Shaolin Monk was going to win. I thought the Monk's way of attacking was going to be his downfall, but these graceful movements actually what won the battle. The Twin Hooks were the deciding weapon in this battle. They got over 500 kills, more than the Tommy gun. They proved to be the most lethal weapon so far. I was a little disappointed in the weapon choices of this episode. The Maori warriors didn't have any ranged weapons. I thought this should have been an even bigger advantage for the Shaolin Monk, who had those rings that looked extremely lethal. There shoudn't have been 2 mid-range weapons. I enjoyed the fact that the warrior that appeared to be worse based on who got the edge won. This by far was my favourite episode.

Next Week: Shaolin Monk vs Maori Warrior

          VS

In this week's Deadliest Warrior the Specially trained Shaolin Monk face off against the Canniballistic Maori Warrior. The Monk has some extreme training and can use the most out of the ordinary weapons. Weapons like the interlocking death machines called the Twin Hooks. I like what they can do but i didn't like how he was using them. These moves make me to believe that the Maori also has a good chance of winning. The Maori use simple weapons and tactics to disarm, stab, and devour his opponent. I think this will be a very good match-up, and i can't wait until next week ;).

My Opinion On This Week's Episode
Am I the only one that loved the Spetsnaz war cry at the end of it. As i predicted the Spetsnaz won. The ballistic knife vs e-tool at the final battle was predicted the second the melee weapons were shown. They should interchange every week like modern warrior, historic warrior, modern warrior, you get the pattern. The 7 on 7 battle was kinda bad since it was just like an army movie. They weren't showcasing the weapons like they did in previous episodes and it was hard to tell one gun from another. I also didn't like that the snipers didn't actually snipe anything. I'm just happy that this week is not just another gun battle.
Next Week:Green Beret vs Spetsnaz

VS

Yeah, the show is coming up with very diverse matchups. I've done some minor resaearch on the spetsnaz and they have some pretty awesome weapons. The RGD-5 Fragmentation Grenade kills anything within 25 meters. They also have the superior hand to hand combat. But I'm not totally on one side. I believe that the green berets have great training too, and they probably have a bit more advanced weaponry. I think this week will be a pretty even matchup but i have a feeling spetsnaz will have the upper hand.

MY OPINION ON THIS WEEK'S EPISODE
I thought the match up was cool but i didn't like that it was 5 on 5. I mean they probably had to do it because of the 1 shot kill that would of happened the second they brought out their sub-automatic guns.

PETE'S OPINION
They underpowered the molotov and i thought it should have gotten more than 2 kills. I don't like that there are gun battles and not enough actual battling. The show is called "Deadliest Warrior" not "Who has the better Gun". I could understand the pirate's guns because they were out of date, and one shot's all you got. There should be more warrior battles.
